Star Wars Weekend Event - Saturday June 7th
Held at Disney-MGM in Orlando Florida

Once we made it past the ticket booth, we waited while the park got ready for our extremely early entrance. Lisa Stevens, President of the Fan Club, and Paul Palmer, Senior Brand Manager for Star Wars toys at Hasbro, can be seen in this picture.

Here the group of fans that would attend the Fan Club Breakfast is led to the Star Tours ride. As can be seen, the breakfast event was well attended.

A full day of fun was ready to be experienced at the Disney-MGM Star Wars Weekend held on June 6th, 7th, and 8th. The weekend was part of a series of Star Wars Weekends held by Disney at their MGM studios. The Weekends began on May 16th,17th & 18th, and ran through June 13th, 14th, & 15th.

While we had just attended the Weekend event held on May 17th, the June 7th event was one we couldn't miss: Not only would there be a bigger parade, but it was the date of the Official Star Wars Fan Club Breakfast. Attending the breakfast were Peter Mayhew, known to fans as Chewbacca, and Jeremy Bulloch, the man behind the mask of bounty hunter Boba Fett. This event was something that was not to be missed!

Fans who signed up for the breakfast were told to arrive before the park opened, as the breakfast would begin at 7 am. We were told that the ticket booths would open just for the Fan Club at 6:30 am. As you can see, almost everyone who was going to the breakfast was at the gate when the booths opened.

Before going to breakfast, the fans were given a ride of Star Tours - a popular Star Wars based attraction at the theme park. The ride was followed by the Fan Club Breakfast, and then a full day of Star Wars based activities in the park that included the Star Wars Stars Motorcade/Parade; live interviews with Peter Mayhew and Jeremy Bulloch at the ABC theater; and a book signing by Steve Sansweet.
